The Sindh government has announced a public holiday across the province on July 29 to mark the annual Urs of renowned Sufi saint Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai (RA).

The Services, General Administration and Coordination Department (SGA&CD) has issued an official notification confirming the holiday.

According to the notification, all government and semi-government offices across Sindh will remain closed on the day.

The holiday will also apply to autonomous bodies, semi-autonomous organizations, local councils, and municipal authorities operating under the provincial government.

The annual Urs of Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai is one of Sindh’s most significant religious and cultural events, attracting thousands of devotees from across Pakistan.

Religious gatherings, traditional music performances, and cultural ceremonies are expected to be held at the saint’s shrine in Bhit Shah to commemorate his life and teachings.
