The Sindh government has declared Wednesday, August 26, 2026, a public holiday on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi, or 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal 1448 A.H.
According to a notification issued by the Sindh Services, General Administration and Coordination Department on Friday, the holiday will apply across the province to all government offices, autonomous bodies, semi-autonomous bodies, corporations and local councils under the administrative control of the Sindh government.
The notification said the decision was taken in pursuance of the Cabinet Division’s notification dated August 21, 2026.
However, the holiday will not apply to essential services, which will continue to operate as required.
The notification was issued by Chief Secretary Sindh Asif Hyder Shah.
