The Kasur district administration has announced a local holiday on Saturday, August 29, to mark the Urs of renowned Sufi poet and saint Hazrat Baba Bulleh Shah.
The three-day Urs celebrations are currently underway in Kasur, with the event entering its second day.
Authorities have also put comprehensive security arrangements in place to ensure the safety of devotees and visitors attending the celebrations.
According to the announcement, the August 29 holiday will apply to district offices working under the Deputy Commissioner of Kasur as well as relevant district government institutions.
Baba Bulleh Shah remains one of the most celebrated Sufi poets of the subcontinent. His Urs attracts large numbers of devotees to Kasur every year.
