Pakistan fast bowlers Haris Rauf and Shaheen Shah Afridi continue to rank among the leading ODI wicket-takers by strike rate among bowlers with at least 100 wickets.

The latest ODI bowling records show that Haris Rauf has taken 104 wickets at a strike rate of 26.42, while Shaheen Shah Afridi has 140 wickets at 26.87.

Both Pakistan pacers are placed among the fastest wicket-taking bowlers in the format, underlining their impact as attacking options rather than purely defensive bowlers.

India’s Mohammad Shami leads the list with 206 wickets at a strike rate of 25.85. Australia’s Mitchell Starc, one of the most successful left-arm pacers in ODI history, has 247 wickets at 26.87, while former Sri Lanka spinner Ajantha Mendis finished his career with 152 wickets at 27.32.

The latest figures come as Pakistan began their three-match ODI series against Australia in impressive fashion, winning the first match by five wickets in Rawalpindi.

Pakistan bowled Australia out for 200 in 44.1 overs before chasing the target in 42.3 overs, finishing at 202-5. Debutant Arafat Minhas produced a historic spell, taking 5-32 in 10 overs to become the first Pakistan bowler to claim a five-wicket haul on ODI debut.

Shaheen and Haris also made useful contributions with the ball. Shaheen, who captained Pakistan in the match, bowled six overs for 19 runs and took one wicket. Haris bowled 5.1 overs, conceding 24 runs and also picking up one wicket.

In the chase, Babar Azam scored a composed 69 off 94 balls, while Ghazi Ghori added 65 off 92 deliveries. The pair put Pakistan in control after early wickets and helped the hosts take a 1-0 lead in the series.

After the first ODI, both teams will travel to Lahore for the remaining matches of the series. The second and third ODIs are scheduled to be played at Gaddafi Stadium on June 2 and June 4.
