Pakistan Gold captain Shaheen Shah Afridi dismantled Pakistan Greens with a hat-trick in the National Champions Cup 2026 final at the Multan Cricket Stadium.
Shaheen completed his hat-trick in the 38th over of the Greens’ run chase, dismissing Mehran Mumtaz, Salman Mirza and Mohammad Hasnain on three consecutive deliveries.
The left-arm pacer trapped Mumtaz lbw with a quick in-dipper on the first ball of the over. He then outfoxed Mirza with a slower delivery, forcing him to lob a simple catch back to the bowler.
Shaheen completed the hat-trick with a toe-crushing yorker to Hasnain, who failed to track the ball as it crashed into his leg stump.
The hat-trick capped a sensational bowling performance from Shaheen in the National Champions Cup 2026 final. He finished with outstanding figures of 7/36 in 8.3 overs and was named Player of the Match.
Shaheen received strong support from Mubasir Khan, Faisal Akram and fellow pacer Razaullah as Pakistan Gold bowled out Pakistan Greens for 239 in 37.3 overs.
Earlier, centuries from Shamyl Hussain and Saad Khan powered Gold to a massive total of 340 all out in 50 overs after Shaheen won the toss and elected to bat first.
Middle-order batter Saad was Gold’s top scorer in the final, hitting a quick 112 off 102 deliveries, including 11 fours and four sixes.
He was closely followed by Hussain, who made a 93-ball 11, including as many boundaries.
Opener Muhammad Akhlaq also contributed 31, while middle-order batters Abdul Samad and Mubasir Khan scored 25 and 21, respectively, to help Gold post a commanding total in the title clash.
