The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has decided to install rainwater harvesting systems in all government buildings across the province to conserve rainwater and make it available for use.

According to an official document, the systems will collect and store rainwater at government buildings instead of allowing it to go to waste.

The Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shahab Ali Shah has directed all government departments to ensure the installation of the systems and strictly comply with the instructions.

The government has already provided departments with the required designs, technical specifications, and estimated installation costs.

Departments have also been directed to submit implementation reports to the Chief Secretary’s Office within one week. The reports will be forwarded for further action.
