Vivo is expected to add a new Pro Max model to its upcoming X500 series, following a naming approach already used by Apple and recently adopted by Xiaomi. The vivo X500 Pro Max is expected to sit above the regular X500 and X500 Pro in the lineup, though the company has not confirmed the phone yet.

A new leak from China suggests that the vivo X500 Pro Max will feature a 6.85-inch flat LIPO OLED display supplied by BOE. The panel is tipped to use 2.5D glass, a 2K resolution, and a 144Hz refresh rate.

The display is also expected to support high-frequency PWM dimming across the full brightness range, which should help reduce eye strain at different brightness levels.

Earlier leaks claimed that the vivo X500 Pro Max will include a 50MP main camera with a LOFIC sensor. The phone is also tipped to feature a 200MP periscope telephoto camera and a multispectral sensor for improved color accuracy and white balance.

The setup could give the Pro Max model a stronger imaging system than the regular X500 Pro, where recent leaks suggest the 200MP periscope camera may be reserved for the higher-end model.

The vivo X500 Pro Max is likely to be the most premium model in the X500 lineup. Current leaks suggest that vivo is focusing on a large flat display, high refresh rate, advanced dimming, and a camera system built around a LOFIC main sensor and a high-resolution periscope lens.

Vivo has not announced the X500 series yet, so the final specifications, launch date, and market availability may change before the official release.
