Vivo has unexpectedly added a new smartphone to its previous-generation S50 lineup with the launch of the Vivo S50t Vitality Edition. The new model combines a 120Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, a 50-megapixel periscope camera and a 6,500mAh battery with 90W charging.

The S50t Vitality Edition joins the Vivo S50, S50t and S50 Pro Mini in the S50 series. It also retains most of the core specifications found on the S50 and S50t, while making a change to the memory technology.

The Vivo S50t Vitality Edition features a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2750 × 1260 pixels. The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and animations.

The display also supports an instantaneous touch sampling rate of up to 2,000Hz, which is designed to improve touch response, particularly during gaming and other fast-paced interactions.

The phone measures 157.52 × 74.33mm. Its thickness varies between 7.49mm and 7.59mm, depending on the color option. The device weighs up to 197 grams.

Vivo offers the S50t Vitality Edition in Space Black, Inspiration Purple, Confession White, and Serene Blue.

For security, the phone has ultrasonic fingerprint recognition and face unlock.

The Vivo S50t Vitality Edition is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. It comes with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage.

One of the main differences between the Vitality Edition and the regular S50 and S50t is its memory technology. The new model uses LPDDR5 RAM, while the S50 and S50t use LPDDR5X memory.

The phone runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16.

The phone has a 50-megapixel front camera with autofocus for selfies and video calls.

On the back, the S50t Vitality Edition features a triple-camera setup. It consists of a 50-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with OIS.

The periscope camera supports up to 100x digital zoom, giving the phone a dedicated option for capturing distant subjects.

The Vivo S50t Vitality Edition packs a large 6,500mAh battery. It supports 90W wired charging through USB Type-C.

Wireless charging is not supported. However, the phone supports reverse charging through USB Type-C, allowing it to provide power to compatible devices.

The Vivo S50t Vitality Edition is available in two configurations. The 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model costs $490, while the higher-end 12GB RAM + 512GB storage version costs $535 in China.
