Vivo has introduced the vivo S50t as a new addition to the S50 lineup. The device arrives after the launch of the vivo S50 and S50 Pro mini in December.

The new S50t is nearly identical to the standard S50, with the only change being the storage type. While the S50 uses UFS 4.1 storage, the S50t comes with UFS 3.1 storage and is also slightly cheaper.

The vivo S50t features a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1260 x 2750 pixels. The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother visuals and scrolling. The fingerprint sensor residing underneath the screen is of the optical kind, which is typically faster and more consistent than the optical type.

The vivo S50t is available in Confession, Serenity Blue, Inspiration Purple, and Space Black.

The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, an older generation chip, but still boasting flagship-class power. It is available with 12GB or 16GB of RAM, paired with 512GB of internal storage.

As mentioned earlier, the only hardware difference from the standard S50 is the use of UFS 3.1 storage instead of UFS 4.1.

For software, you get Android 16 with Origin OS 6 skin on top.

The vivo S50t includes a triple rear camera setup led by a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization.

It also features a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS. An 8MP ultrawide camera completes the rear setup. For selfies and video calls, the phone includes a 50MP front-facing camera.

The device packs a 6,500mAh battery with support for 90W wired fast charging.

The 12GB RAM and 512GB storage model is priced at $468. The 16GB RAM and 512GB storage variant costs $512. Both versions are priced $14 lower than the regular vivo S50.
