Tecno has unveiled its Next-Gen Bezelless Concept Phone, a prototype that the company claims has no visible bezel around its display.
The device will make its public debut at IFA 2026 in Berlin. The technology exhibition will run from September 4 to September 8.
Tecno says it achieved the claimed 0mm display bezel through advanced internal component stacking, new screen-packaging methods, and a redesigned internal structure.
The company has not explained how these technologies work or how it protects the edge of the display. More technical details are expected when the prototype appears at IFA.
The design allows the screen to extend to the edges of the phone with almost no visible border. However, the device still has a hole-punch cutout for its front-facing camera.
Tecno also released comparison images showing the concept phone next to the iPhone 17 Pro. The images highlight the visibly thicker borders around Apple’s phone compared with Tecno’s prototype.
The handset remains a concept, and Tecno has not announced plans to sell it or use the technology in a specific commercial smartphone.
However, the announcement suggests the company is exploring how the 0mm bezel design could be used in future devices. Its practicality, durability and suitability for mass production remain unknown.
