Redmi has introduced the K90 Max, its latest performance-focused smartphone in the K series complete with all sorts of gaming features.

The device combines a flagship MediaTek chipset, an active cooling system, a high refresh rate AMOLED display, and a large silicon-carbon battery with fast charging.

The Redmi K90 Max features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2722 x 1280 pixels. It supports 12-bit colors and a 165Hz refresh rate.

The TCL-made panel uses M10 luminous technology and is rated for up to 3,500 nits peak local brightness. It also includes an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner under the display.

A 20MP front camera sits inside the punch-hole cutout. The phone also includes stereo speakers with Bose sound tuning.

For durability, the K90 Max carries IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. The phone is available in black, blue, and silver colors.

The phone runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 processor, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.1 storage.

It also includes a dedicated Xiaomi D2 graphics chip. Redmi says the device scored 4,161,374 points on AnTuTu v11.

For thermal management, the phone uses a 6,000mm² vapor chamber along with a built-in spinning fan. Redmi says this setup can reduce internal temperatures by up to 10 degrees.

The device ships with Android 16 and Xiaomi HyperOS 3.0.

The rear camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor with a 1/1.55-inch Light Hunter 800 sensor and optical image stabilization. It is joined by an 8MP ultrawide camera using the OV08F sensor. On the front, the phone features a 20MP selfie camera.

The Redmi K90 Max carries an 8,500 mAh silicon-carbon battery with 100W wired charging support. It also supports 22.5W reverse wired charging and bypass charging.

Pricing starts at $469 for the 12GB + 256GB model, while the top-end 16GB + 1TB version costs $690.

The phone may launch in the international market with a different name, but there is no confirmation from Xiaomi as of yet.
