The Punjab government has approved a major administrative change by increasing the number of Additional Deputy Commissioners in districts from four to five.
The Services and General Administration Department has created a new post of Additional Deputy Commissioner Enforcement under the revised structure.
According to an official notification, Kashif Jaleel has been posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner Enforcement Lahore, while Rao Rafiq Afzal has been appointed Additional Deputy Commissioner Headquarters Lahore.
The notification also said Kashif Jaleel will hold the additional charge of Registrar, Defamation Tribunal and Administrator, General Bus Stand.
Sources said the new post will also allow the Additional Deputy Commissioner Enforcement in Lahore to play a more effective role in the Metropolitan Corporation Lahore’s regulation wing.
The move is aimed at strengthening enforcement and regulatory functions at the district level and improving governance, law enforcement and administrative oversight across Punjab.
