Temperatures are rising across Pakistan, with parts of Sindh and Balochistan expected to record heat above 40 degrees Celsius, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
The Met Office said Sibi in Balochistan could reach 44°C, while temperatures in Sindh are forecast to climb to 43°C in Sukkur, 42°C in Dadu, 41°C in Mithi and 40°C in Hyderabad.
Karachi is expected to record a maximum temperature of 35°C. In Punjab, temperatures are also set to increase, with Multan and Sargodha likely to reach 37°C, while Dera Ghazi Khan and Lahore could see highs of 36°C.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department said dry conditions are expected to persist across much of Sindh in the coming days, with temperatures continuing to rise.
Weather conditions in the province are expected to remain stable but increasingly warm, while the Met Office warned that the upward trend could intensify later in the month, raising the possibility of heatwave conditions by the end of April.
