The Met office has informed that monsoon currents are penetrating upper parts of the country. A westerly wave is also likely to approach upper parts of the country from 31st August and may persist till 5th September.
Under the influence of this weather system:
Rain-wind/thundershower (with isolated heavyfalls) is expected in Neelum valley, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Poonch, Hattian, Bagh, Haveli, Sudhanoti, Kotli, Bhimber, and Mirpur from 28th August (evening/night) to 6th September with occasional gaps.
Rain-wind/thundershower (with isolated heavyfalls) is expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Galliyat, Jhelum, Chakwal, Talagang, Attock, Lahore, Sialkot, Sheikhupura, Narowal, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Wazirabad and Hafizabad from 29th August to 5th September, while in Kasur, Okara, Nankana Sahib, Sargodha, Khushab, Mianwali, Noorpur Thal , Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Layyah, Bhakkar, Sahiwal, and Pakpattan from 1st September to 5th September with occasional gaps.
Rain-wind/thundershower (with isolated heavyfalls) is expected in Peshawar, Dir, Chitral, Swat, Kohistan, Malakand, Mardan, Nowshera, Charsadda, Swabi, Shangla, Battagram, Buner, Kohat, Hangu, Kurram, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, Mansehra, Abbottabad, and Haripur from 29th August to 5th September, while in Karak, Tank, Lakki Marwat, D.I Khan, Bannu, and Waziristan from 01st September to 4th September with occasional gaps.
Rain-wind/thundershower is expected in Diamir, Astore, Ghizer, Skardu, Hunza, Gilgit, Ghanche, and Shigar from 30th August to 6th September with occasional gaps.
Mainly hot and humid weather to prevail in most parts during the forecast period.
