The Punjab government on Monday announced a public holiday on August 4, 2026, in connection with the annual Urs celebrations of Hazrat Data Gunj Bakhsh in Lahore.

According to the notification, offices of the district administration and other institutions under the jurisdiction of the deputy commissioner will remain closed.

However, the holiday will not apply to the Punjab Civil Secretariat, autonomous bodies and regional offices.

The Services and General Administration Department has already issued the notification in this regard.
