The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has completed the identification of illegal houses and structures built along the stream passing through Saidpur Village in Islamabad.

CDA enforcement teams have finalized the survey and marked illegal constructions situated around the water channel.

According to officials, markings have been placed on the illegal houses and structures, while announcements have also been made locally directing occupants to vacate the premises immediately ahead of the planned operation.

CDA officials said that the anti-encroachment drive in Saidpur Village was initiated after the monsoon season last year. Officials maintained that illegal constructions had narrowed the natural flow of the stream.

The authority stated that several structures had been illegally built along the stream and later rented out, contributing to severe water accumulation in Saidpur Village during heavy rains. The flooding reportedly caused damage to vehicles and properties in the area.

Officials further said that all encroachments along the stream will be removed before the onset of this year’s monsoon season. The CDA has reiterated that an operation against illegal constructions will be carried out and that no unauthorized structures will be tolerated.
