The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to launch a joint venture with the Defense Housing Authority (DHA) for the development of three new sectors in Islamabad following the progress made on Margalla Enclave.

According to a CDA spokesperson, the two sides will work together on sectors D-13, E-13 and F-13.

Officials said the CDA is currently speeding up land allotment in the three sectors so the area can be cleared for development. Once the land clearance process is completed, a formal agreement between the CDA and DHA will be finalized.

The move marks a fresh push to develop sectors that have remained pending for years. The CDA has been unable to fully develop D-13, E-13 and F-13 since 2008.

The decision appears to be influenced by the pace of work on Margalla Enclave, where DHA moved much faster than the CDA had in the earlier Kari Model Village project, which had seen slow progress since 2010.

Authorities are also expected to finalize another joint venture between DHA and the housing authority for sectors G-12 and F-12 in the near future.
