The government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir has announced a three-day public holiday for Eid ul Azha 2026, with offices and educational institutions set to remain closed across the region.

According to the official notification, the holidays will be observed from May 26 to May 28 after approval from the AJK president. Under the schedule, all government offices in Azad Kashmir will remain closed from Tuesday to Thursday.

The holiday plan also covers public and private educational institutions, including schools and colleges, as well as private offices, allowing residents across the region to observe Eid ul Azha.

The announcement was issued to facilitate Eid celebrations and ensure smooth observance of the religious occasion in the territory.

Normal operations are expected to resume after the holiday period ends.

Separately, the Sindh government has also revised its Eid ul Adha holiday schedule and reduced the break from four days to three. Under the latest notification, holidays in Sindh will also be observed from May 26 to May 28.

During the break, government offices, autonomous bodies, and semi-autonomous institutions in Sindh will remain closed, while essential services will continue operating as usual. Offices in the province are expected to reopen on Friday, May 29.
