Xiaomi is expected to launch the Xiaomi 18 series in September, and a new leak from China has revealed early details about the standard Xiaomi 18 and its Pro models. The information remains unofficial, as Xiaomi has not confirmed the launch date or specifications yet.
The Xiaomi 18 is tipped to feature a 6.4-inch flat display, making it slightly larger than the 6.3-inch panel on the Xiaomi 17.
The phone is expected to keep the same 19.5:9 aspect ratio while moving to a sharper 2K resolution. The display may also feature ultra-narrow bezels and large rounded corners.
The Xiaomi 18 is also expected to get a major battery upgrade. The leak suggests that the battery capacity will start with the number 7, while one Weibo commenter suggested it could be 7,800mAh.
Even if the final capacity is closer to 7,000mAh, it would still be a notable increase over the Xiaomi 17’s 6,330mAh battery.
The latest leak does not mention the standard Xiaomi 18’s camera setup.
However, earlier rumors suggested that the phone could include a 200MP telephoto camera while keeping a 50MP main camera, similar to the Xiaomi 17.
For the higher-end models, the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max are tipped to feature two 200MP cameras, including the main and telephoto cameras.
Xiaomi has not announced the Xiaomi 18 series yet, but the company is expected to introduce the lineup in September based on its recent launch schedule.
If the leaks are accurate, the Xiaomi 18 could offer a sharper display, slimmer bezels, and a much larger battery while keeping a compact flagship form factor.
