The Sindh government has issued a code of conduct for the collection of sacrificial animal hides during Eid al-Adha.
According to the Sindh Home Department, collecting hides without permission from commissioners and deputy commissioners will be strictly prohibited.
Under the notification, only registered welfare organizations and madrassas will be allowed to collect hides. Banned organizations will not be permitted to collect hides under any other name.
The Home Department also imposed a ban on setting up camps and displaying banners for hide collection across Sindh. The use of loudspeakers for announcements and displaying flags on vehicles will also not be allowed.
The notification clearly states that collecting hides through force or coercion will be prohibited, and strict action will be taken against violators.
Authorities said confiscated hides will be handed over to approved welfare organizations, while police have been authorized to immediately register cases against offenders.
Meanwhile, Karachi authorities have also imposed a complete ban on carrying licensed weapons from 10th to 12th Zil Hajj as part of Eid security measures.
