Samsung will introduce a new member of the Galaxy S26 family on Thursday, August 27, during its “Galaxy Event August 2026.”
The event will begin at 5:00 PM UTC and will be livestreamed on Samsung.com and the company’s YouTube channel.
Samsung has not officially named the device, but it is expected to be the Galaxy S26 FE. The company has also not revealed any official specifications for the upcoming phone.
A leaked EPREL label has already revealed several details about the Galaxy S26 FE.
According to the label, the phone received an A rating for energy efficiency and another A rating for drop resistance. However, it received a C rating for repairability.
The battery is rated to retain performance for 1,200 charging cycles and can reportedly power the device for 50 hours on a single charge.
For comparison, the Galaxy S25 FE is rated for 2,000 charging cycles and offers 42 hours and 37 minutes of endurance.
The leaked label also shows that the Galaxy S26 FE carries an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
None of these specifications are official yet.
The biggest change expected with the Galaxy S26 FE is an upgrade to Samsung’s Exynos 2500 chipset. A Google Play Console listing has all but confirmed the processor.
Other unofficial details, including specifications and multiple leaked images of the Galaxy S26 FE, have also appeared ahead of the launch.
Samsung is expected to reveal the full details of the new Galaxy S26 family member during its August 27 event.
