Realme has introduced the Realme 16x as the latest addition to its Realme 16 smartphone lineup. The phone combines a 7,000mAh battery with a 144Hz display, MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 chipset, and Android 16.
The phone has launched in India for now, and even though there is no official word on an international launch as of yet, the phone will most likely reach the global market.
The device is closely related to the Realme P4R and Narzo 100x, although those models use larger 8,000mAh batteries.
The Realme 16x features a 6.81-inch LCD with an HD+ resolution of 1,570 × 720 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. The screen reaches up to 1,200 nits of brightness and is protected by Panda-1681 glass.
The phone carries an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance and has also received MIL-STD-810H certification. It can be operated with wet hands or while wearing gloves.
A side-mounted fingerprint scanner handles biometric authentication, while the rear camera island includes a Pulse Light that can be used for notifications.
The Realme 16x comes in Glory White and Endurance Brown.
MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 chipset powers the Realme 16x, paired with either 4GB or 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.
The phone runs Realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16 out of the box. Realme has promised two years of Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates.
For thermal management, the Realme 16x uses a 5,300mm² vapor chamber cooling system.
The Realme 16x has a 50MP primary camera on the back, while an 8MP camera handles selfies and video calls on the front.
These are the phone’s two usable cameras, with the additional element on the rear camera island serving as the Pulse Light rather than another camera.
The Realme 16x packs a 7,000mAh battery with support for 45W wired charging. It also offers all-scenario bypass charging, which can supply power directly while the device is being used, as well as 6.5W wired reverse charging for powering other devices.
The phone comes in three memory configurations. The 4GB/128GB version costs $272, the 6GB/128GB model is priced at $293, and the 6GB/256GB variant costs $324.
