The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has introduced a new feature in Emergency Helpline 15 aimed at improving response times and transparency.
Under the update, callers will now receive details of the assigned police officer along with an estimated arrival time. In addition, users will be able to track the response in real time and provide feedback on the service.
The new feature is integrated with the Public Safety App, which allows direct coordination between callers and police officers to help ensure timely assistance during emergencies.
Officials say the latest feature is designed to strengthen accountability, improve communication, and enhance public confidence in emergency response services.
This development builds on a series of recent upgrades to the province’s emergency response system. In earlier initiatives, the authority introduced features that allow citizens to share live video footage directly with police during emergency calls, enabling officers to assess situations in real time and respond more effectively.
The move is part of a broader push to modernize policing through technology. The Safe Cities framework uses advanced tools such as AI-powered monitoring systems and real-time surveillance to improve emergency response and public safety across the province.
