The Punjab Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has sealed a famous bakery as part of an enforcement action in the province.

According to posts shared on the EPA’s official social media accounts, the bakery was identified as Jalal Sons, and the action was taken over the alleged use of single-use plastic in violation of environmental regulations.

The EPA shared photographs of the operation and reiterated its commitment to enforcing environmental laws under its Plastic Free Punjab campaign. The agency stated that it maintains a zero-tolerance policy against violations and will continue taking action against businesses found breaching the rules.

While the EPA confirmed that a branch of Jalal Sons had been sealed, it did not disclose which outlet was involved in the enforcement action.

The agency also urged businesses and consumers to support efforts aimed at reducing plastic waste and promoting environmentally friendly alternatives across Punjab.
