According to the PCB, the venue will be developed in line with ICC requirements, allowing Saudi Arabia to host international matches and major cricket events in the future.

The agreement goes beyond the construction of a single venue. Both boards will also work together on wider cricket infrastructure development, stadium planning, technical support, and operational standards as Saudi Arabia looks to build a stronger long-term base for the sport.

The initiative is also aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to increase investment in sports, boost sports tourism, encourage public participation, and improve quality of life.

Speaking after the signing, Mohsin Naqvi called the agreement a major milestone for cricket in Saudi Arabia and said the PCB was proud to support the game’s development in the Kingdom.

He said the partnership would open up new opportunities for players and help strengthen sporting ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation Chairman Prince Saud bin Mishal Al Saud also welcomed the agreement, saying the collaboration would extend beyond the stadium itself and help lay the foundation for the long-term growth of cricket in the country.
