The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has called up 20 bowlers, including 12 fast bowlers and eight spinners, for a two-phase development camp at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) as part of its player development program.
The group includes seven uncapped fast bowlers and one uncapped spinner.
The fast bowlers will attend a five-day camp from August 24 to 28 under the supervision of NCA coaches. The spinners will take part in the second phase from August 31 to September 4.
During the camps, the bowlers will work closely with NCA coaches and Pakistan men’s white-ball team coaches. The sessions will focus on improving their technical and tactical skills, while their performances in their most recent competitive cricket will also be reviewed as part of the development process.
The uncapped fast bowlers are Razaullah of Peshawar region, Mohammad Salman of Lahore region, Qayyum Khan of Faisalabad region, Abdul Subhan of Sialkot region, Abuzar of Peshawar region, Mohammad Imran Jnr of Peshawar region, and Muhammad Imran of Bahawalpur region.
The capped fast bowlers are Mohammad Salman Mirza and Ahmed Daniyal of Lahore region, Akif Javed of FATA region, Mohammad Hasnain of Hyderabad region, and Faheem Ashraf of Faisalabad region.
The eight spinners include uncapped Mehran Mumtaz. The capped spinners are Mubasir Khan and Saad Masood of Rawalpindi region, Faisal Akram and Arafat Minhas of Multan region, Abrar Ahmed and Danish Aziz of Karachi region, and Mohammad Nawaz of Rawalpindi region.
Among the 20 bowlers, Qayyum Khan is the only player who has yet to make his competitive cricket debut. The right-arm pacer, however, made one appearance for Sports Board Punjab in this year’s President’s Trophy Grade-II Silver.
