Pakistan advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2026 World Junior Squash Championships team event after securing a 2-0 victory over Canada in the pre-quarterfinals in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Canada.
According to the Pakistan Squash Federation, Nauman Khan gave Pakistan the perfect start by defeating Colten McLaughlin in straight games.
Nauman won 11-5, 13-11, 11-9 to put Pakistan 1-0 ahead in the tie.
Abdullah Nawaz then sealed the victory with a hard-fought win over Calder Murray in a five-game contest.
After losing the opening game, Abdullah recovered to claim the match 9-11, 11-7, 11-9, 6-11, 11-3 and confirm Pakistan’s place in the last eight.
Pakistan will now face defending champions Egypt in the quarterfinals on Thursday.
