A Consumer Protection Court in Karachi has ordered Pakistan Railways to pay Rs. 50,000 in compensation to a passenger after the Khyber Mail reached Karachi several hours late.

The case was filed before the Consumer Protection Court Karachi South by a passenger who had booked a Khyber Mail ticket from Ghotki to Karachi in 2025.

According to the petitioner, the train was scheduled to depart from Ghotki at 6:40 PM but left at 10:11 PM, resulting in a delay of more than three hours.

The train was scheduled to reach Karachi at 6:40 AM but arrived at 10:45 AM, causing the passenger to miss or disrupt his scheduled commitments.

The petitioner argued that the delay had caused him inconvenience and affected his planned engagements.

After hearing the case, the Consumer Protection Court ordered Pakistan Railways to pay Rs. 50,000 in compensation to the passenger.
