A National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) employee, Fayyaz Ahmed, has been missing since Monday evening, prompting concern from his family and the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP).
Fayyaz, who is the son of senior journalist Sohail Sangi, left his office at around 6pm on Monday but never returned home. Since then, his family has been unable to contact him, with his mobile phone remaining switched off.
The family has approached senior police authorities, including the Sindh Inspector General of Police, the relevant Deputy Inspector General (DIG), and the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), seeking urgent action. They have also submitted a formal written complaint regarding his disappearance.
Meanwhile, the HRCP voiced deep concern over the incident. In a statement, the commission identified Fayyaz as the son of its council member Sohail Sangi and urged the Sindh government to intensify efforts to locate him and ensure his safe recovery.
