A five-year-old girl was killed after being run over by a Suthra Punjab tractor-trolley in Gujranwala.
The tragic incident took place in the People’s Colony area, where the girl, identified as Minah Shehzadi, was playing in a street when the accident occurred.
According to eyewitnesses, the tractor-trolley driver was reversing the vehicle when the girl came under its wheels. She sustained critical injuries and died at the scene.
Following the incident, the driver reportedly fled the area, leaving the family and local residents in shock and grief.
Police took the Suthra Punjab tractor-trolley involved in the accident into custody and shifted it to the police station for further investigation.
Authorities have launched a search for the driver, who remains at large.
The girl’s family has demanded justice and urged police to arrest the driver and take legal action against him for the fatal accident.
The incident has also raised concerns over the safety of children in residential areas where heavy vehicles are being operated.
