President Asif Ali Zardari has approved 355 individuals for Pakistan Civil Awards 2026, with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi among the federal ministers recommended for the prestigious Nishan-i-Imtiaz.

The recommendations recognize individuals for contributions to public service, science, education, medicine, arts, literature, sports, journalism, social welfare and services to Pakistan.

Alongside Mohsin Naqvi, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Federal Minister Ahad Khan Cheema and Minister of State for Finance Bilal Azhar Kayani have also been recommended for Nishan-i-Imtiaz.

The list includes several other senior government officials. Intelligence Bureau Director General Fuad Asadullah, Attorney General Mansoor Usman Awan, Finance Division Secretary Imdadullah Bosal, FBR Chairman Rashid Mahmood Lagrial and Establishment Division Secretary Nabeel A. Awan have been recommended for Hilal-i-Imtiaz.

The awards also cover prominent figures from the fields of medicine, education, literature, journalism, entertainment and sports.

Writer and poet Asad Muhammad Khan has been recommended for Nishan-i-Imtiaz, while several prominent artists, journalists, athletes and medical professionals have been nominated for various civil awards.

Foreign nationals and overseas Pakistanis have also been included in the 2026 honors list. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak has been recommended for Nishan-i-Pakistan.

The final awards will be conferred on Pakistan Day in 2027.
