Huawei has officially introduced the Pura 90 Pro and Pura 90 Pro Max as the latest additions to its flagship smartphone lineup. Both models arrive with refreshed styling, bold gradient finishes, and upgraded camera systems.

The design takes inspiration from the Huawei P30 series, while the new hardware focuses heavily on photography and premium features.

The Huawei Pura 90 Pro features a 6.6-inch LTPO OLED display, while the Pura 90 Pro Max uses a larger 6.9-inch screen. Both panels offer FHD+ resolution and adaptive refresh rates ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz. Huawei has also added second-generation Kunlun Glass for improved durability and scratch resistance.

Each phone includes a 13MP front-facing camera and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The two devices are rated IP68 and IP69 for water and dust resistance.

The Huawei Pura 90 Pro is available in Pink Guava, Orange Soda, Coconut White, and Mulberry Black. The Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max comes in Orange Ocean, Sunset Purple, Emerald Lake, Dawn Gold, and Obsidian Black.

Huawei has equipped both smartphones with its Kirin 9030S chipset. The company claims the processor delivers a 200% improvement in image NPU performance, along with gains in AI ISP processing.

Both devices run HarmonyOS 6.1 out of the box. Software features include a built-in AI assistant, AI image editing tools, and object removal functions.

The Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max features a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with a large 1/1.28-inch sensor. It uses an f/2.6 aperture, a 96mm equivalent focal length, and offers 4x optical zoom. Huawei said the sensor is designed to preserve detail in difficult lighting. It also supports CIPA 7.0 image stabilization with 7-stop stabilization.

The Pro Max is also Huawei’s first smartphone with a Lateral Overflow Integration Capacitor (LOFIC) sensor on its 50MP RYYB main camera. This sensor supports a variable aperture from f/1.4 to f/4.0 and includes optical image stabilization.

The third rear camera on the Pro Max is a 40MP ultra-wide unit with an f/2.2 aperture.

The Huawei Pura 90 Pro uses a 50MP RYYB main camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor, variable f/1.4 to f/4.0 aperture, and OIS. It also includes a 50MP telephoto camera with an f/2.1 aperture and 4x optical zoom, along with a 12.5MP ultra-wide sensor.

Both the Pura 90 Pro and Pura 90 Pro Max pack 6,000 mAh batteries despite the difference in size. Charging support includes 100W wired charging and 80W wireless charging.

Pricing starts at $806 for the 12GB + 256GB model.  The 16GB + 512GB model is priced at $953, while the 16GB + 1TB version costs $1,099.

The Pro Max model starts at $953 for the 12GB + 256GB version. The 12GB + 512GB model is priced at $1,026. The 16GB + 512GB variant costs $1,099, while the top-end 16GB + 1TB model is priced at $1,246.

The company has not yet confirmed international launch plans.
