Huawei has expanded its wearable lineup with the Watch D3, the latest model in its health-focused Watch D series. The company also introduced the FreeBuds Neo wireless earbuds alongside the new smartwatch.
While the Watch 6 and Watch GT 7 series remain Huawei’s mainstream smartwatch offerings, the Watch D3 focuses more heavily on health monitoring. It brings medical-grade blood pressure monitoring, a revised design, and a larger, brighter display.
The Huawei Watch D3 has a similar design to its predecessor, but Huawei has reduced the aluminum chassis thickness to 11.3mm while keeping the weight at 40 grams. The Huawei Watch D3 is available in Mocha Gold and Black.
The smartwatch features a 1.92-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 480 x 408 pixels and peak brightness of 3,000 nits. This is a significant increase over the Watch D2, which offered peak brightness of 1,500 nits.
Its strap includes an inflatable airbag that expands around the wrist to measure blood pressure. The airbag is also 1mm narrower than the one used on the previous model.
Like the Watch D2, the Watch D3 supports 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, or ABPM, along with trend-based reports. Huawei also says the system operates more quietly during nighttime blood pressure measurements.
The Watch D3 can track heart rate trends and now supports blood pressure measurements before and after exercise.
Huawei has also included its Health Glance feature, which provides a health report covering 11 key indicators within 60 seconds. These include heart rate, blood pressure, and blood oxygen saturation.
The smartwatch supports Bluetooth 6.0 and packs a 540mAh battery. Huawei says it can last for up to six days under regular use.
It is priced at $540 and will go on sale from September 23.
Huawei also introduced the FreeBuds Neo, its latest pair of wireless earbuds. Huawei offers the FreeBuds Neo in Stellar Silver, Nebula Pink, Ice White and Starry Black.
The earbuds support dual-channel noise cancellation rated at up to 30dB. Adaptive algorithms can also adjust active noise cancellation based on the surrounding environment within milliseconds.
Huawei has equipped the earbuds with its third-generation audio chip, which supports 2.3Mbps high-resolution lossless transmission and a maximum transmission bitrate of 990kbps.
The FreeBuds Neo also support spatial audio and work with Android, iOS, and Windows devices. They also support pairing with two devices at the same time.
The earbuds are priced at $160 and will officially go on sale on September 23.
