The Punjab government has launched the Rahmat Card Program to provide financial assistance to widows and orphan families across the province.
Under the program, 50,000 deserving families will receive support. Widows will get Rs. 1 lac, while orphan families will also receive Rs. 1 lac per family.
The program aims to support low-income households that need immediate financial help. Beneficiaries will be selected through the Punjab Socio-Economic Registry database.
Applicants must belong to a low-income household. They must also be permanent residents of Punjab. The applicant must not be a government employee or pensioner.
For widows, the widow status must be updated on the CNIC. For orphan children, a valid B form is required. The mobile number used for registration must also be registered on the applicant’s own CNIC.
Eligible applicants can register through the official web portal or the mobile app.
Applicants can visit the Rahmat Card web portal at: https://rahmatcard.punjab.gov.pk/
They can also apply through the CM Punjab Rahmat Card mobile app.
Registration can be completed through either option. Once registered, applicants can submit their application for financial assistance under the program.
Beneficiaries will be selected through the Punjab Socio Economic Registry database. The final selection will be made on the basis of district quotas under the same system.
If an applicant is not registered in PSER, their data will be verified through NADRA.
Financial assistance under the Rahmat Card Program will be disbursed through JazzCash wallet accounts.
On the instructions of the Punjab Chief Minister, the provincial government will bear the service charges of these wallet accounts. This means beneficiaries will not have to pay wallet service charges for receiving the assistance.
