The repatriation of Pakistani Hajj pilgrims is progressing steadily, with 46% of the total pilgrims already safely returned to Pakistan, according to 24NewsHD TV.
A spokesperson for the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Omar Butt, said that the Hajj Operation 2026 has now entered its final phase.
He added that within the next 72 hours, field operations in Makkah will be completed, after which all operational activities will be shifted to Madinah.
At present, around 55,000 pilgrims under the government scheme are still in Saudi Arabia. Of these, approximately 28,000 are in Makkah and are being gradually transferred to Madinah.
Meanwhile, 27,000 pilgrims are in Madinah, where they are performing Ziyarat at Roza-e-Rasool (PBUH) before their return journeys to Pakistan.
Alongside the pilgrims’ return, the supporting administrative structure is also being gradually scaled down. So far, 51% of medical teams and Hajj assistants (Khudam-ul-Hujjaj) have already returned to Pakistan, while the remaining staff will stay until the final phase of operations is completed.
According to the official schedule, the last Hajj flight from Jeddah Airport is set to depart on June 16, marking the closure of operations there.
The overall Hajj operation is expected to conclude on June 30 with the final flight departing from Madinah.
