Grand Theft Auto VI fans are again waiting for official news after reports claimed that the game’s pre-orders may go live next week .
The latest rumor started after a Best Buy affiliate email reportedly listed a GTA 6 pre-order campaign running from May 18 to May 21. The claim began spreading online after content creator Frogboyx1gaming appeared to receive the email during a YouTube livestream, IGN reported through Game Informer.
The reported email suggested that Best Buy may be preparing to open pre-orders for GTA 6 next week.
The claim was later shared by the verified GTA6Alerts account on X, which posted alleged screenshots from Best Buy affiliate accounts. The account said multiple people claimed they had received the same pre-order campaign email.

The leak has gained attention because GTA 6 remains one of the most anticipated games, and fans have been waiting for more information since Rockstar released the second trailer in May last year. Rockstar published Trailer 2 on May 6, 2025.
GTA 6 pre-orders are expected to attract heavy traffic whenever they officially go live.
Major gaming launches can create website issues when demand spikes quickly. The source compared the situation with Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders, where high traffic caused problems and frustration for buyers.
