Rockstar Games is preparing to give fans their next major official look at Grand Theft Auto VI, with GTA 6: An Extended Look premiering on Netflix before becoming available for free on YouTube.
The presentation will debut on Netflix at 12:00 AM Pakistan Standard Time (PKT) on August 28, where subscribers will receive six hours of exclusive access. Rockstar will then publish it for free on its official YouTube channel and GTA 6 website at 6:00 AM PKT on August 28.
The showcase arrives after months of GTA 6 leaks revealing everything from parts of the Leonida map to previously unseen gameplay involving protagonist Jason.
Rockstar has not revealed exactly what the Extended Look will contain.
The company describes it only as a more substantial look at GTA 6, while Netflix calls it an “extended first look.”
This has fueled speculation that Rockstar could finally show a substantial amount of official gameplay or release the long-awaited third trailer. Neither has been confirmed.
The partnership itself is unusual. Netflix says this is a first-of-its-kind collaboration with Rockstar, giving its subscribers early access to one of gaming’s biggest upcoming reveals.
Pakistani fans without Netflix will therefore only need to wait until 6:00 AM on August 28 to watch the complete presentation for free on YouTube.
The unusual marketing strategy comes alongside another controversial Rockstar decision.
Rockstar has officially confirmed that the physical version of GTA 6 will not contain a game disc. Instead, buyers will receive a box containing a digital download code.
The physical version becomes available on November 12, allowing buyers to redeem the code and preload the game before launch.
Rockstar is also dealing with an ongoing series of unauthorized leaks attributed to an anonymous individual or group known as Cyberleek.
Cyberleek has published a manifesto attacking what it considers anti-consumer practices across the gaming industry.
Its demands include ending digital preorders, preventing publishers from charging separately for single-player content already included within game files, and ensuring single-player games receive an offline fallback when online services shut down.
Cyberleek has threatened to continue disrupting publishers until they publicly apologize and commit to changing those practices.
The campaign overlaps with criticism surrounding GTA 6’s code-in-box physical release, although Cyberleek’s manifesto targets broader digital ownership and game-preservation issues rather than the missing GTA 6 disc alone.
Despite the leaks and controversy, Rockstar’s release schedule remains unchanged. Grand Theft Auto VI launches November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
