The inquiry committee formed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to investigate the One Constitution Avenue case has completed its proceedings and is expected to submit its final report shortly, sources said.

The committee, constituted on the prime minister’s directives, recorded statements from all relevant parties involved in the matter, including government officials, senior bureaucrats, and individuals linked to the case.

According to sources, investigators also examined official records, evidence, and related documentation in detail as the probe entered its final phase. Inputs and reports were also obtained from multiple concerned institutions to ensure a comprehensive review.

The final report, to be submitted to the prime minister, is expected to include findings on responsibility as well as recommendations for future action. Sources added that key administrative decisions may follow once the findings are presented to the premier.

The controversy surfaced after the Capital Development Authority (CDA) recently launched action against the One Constitution Avenue building located in Islamabad’s Red Zone and issued notices to its allottees.

Following the development, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif constituted an inquiry committee and directed the suspension of further action until the investigation is completed. Sources confirmed that the committee has now finalized its review of all aspects of the case.
