Residents of Islamabad can now access several vehicle-related services from home under a new initiative launched by the Excise and Taxation Department.
According to the department, citizens can book appointments through the helpline 051-111-383-383 for services including vehicle registration, transfer of ownership and other excise-related procedures. Following the request, a departmental team will visit the applicant’s location to complete the process.
The department said the initiative is aimed at improving access to public services and reducing the need for repeated visits to excise offices. In a separate move, the Excise and Taxation Department has also announced that its offices will remain open on Fridays and Saturdays to facilitate the public.
Officials said citizens will be able to avail services such as vehicle registration, ownership transfer, token tax payment and other excise-related matters during the extended working days.
The department said the measures are part of efforts to improve service delivery and make vehicle-related services more accessible to residents.
