The Punjab government is continuing to expand its green public transportation network by extending its electric bus initiative to more districts across the province under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s Green Mobility vision.
As part of the latest expansion, 10 modern green buses have arrived in Layyah, while five more buses are expected to join the fleet soon. Officials said the initiative will provide residents with safe, comfortable and environmentally friendly travel facilities.
The development follows the recent announcement of an electric bus service for Narowal, where 11 electric buses are scheduled to begin operating on six routes, with fares set at Rs. 20.
The Punjab government has been gradually expanding its electric bus network to improve public transport, promote sustainable mobility and provide affordable commuting options for residents across the province.
