Pakistan has opened mandatory registration for Hajj 2027, allowing intending pilgrims to complete the process from home through the Pak Hajj mobile app on Android as well as iOS .

Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf formally launched the registration process on June 22. Applicants can also register through the Ministry of Religious Affairs’ online Hajj Management System or visit a participating bank branch.

The current process is the first registration stage rather than the final Hajj booking. Only registered applicants will be allowed to submit a Hajj 2027 application when the booking stage begins.

The government will not charge applicants any fee for Hajj 2027 registration.

Registration is mandatory for people planning to travel under either the government or private Hajj scheme. Applicants will be able to choose between the two schemes after completing the initial registration.

The government will process bookings on a first-come, first-served basis until Pakistan’s allocated Hajj quota is filled.

The Pak Hajj app allows applicants to view and verify their personal information, bank account details, group information, mehram details, nominee information, helper information, and other facilities.

Recent versions of the app also include applicant information, training schedules, QR codes, picture and passport uploads, health forms, accommodation details, prayers in Urdu, English, and Arabic, and lost-and-found information.

The app also provides private Hajj applicants with access to their application and package details.

A passport is not required during the initial registration stage. However, applicants will need a valid Pakistani passport when formal Hajj bookings begin.

The minister’s announcement on June 22 stated that passports must remain valid until at least November 26, 2027. However, earlier ministry guidance and the registration information published by Allied Bank cite November 16, 2027.

Applicants should confirm the final passport validity requirement with the Ministry of Religious Affairs before the booking stage.

The government has not announced the final Hajj 2027 package cost, installment schedule, booking dates, or other terms.

These details will be released later under the Hajj Policy 2027. Registered applicants will then be able to proceed with the government scheme or select an approved private Hajj operator.

The religious affairs minister also said Pakistan remains in negotiations with Saudi Arabia over a possible increase in its Hajj quota.
