Important instructions have been issued for pilgrims applying to perform Hajj in 2027, as the government has banned direct payments to private Hajj operators under the private scheme.
According to media reports, booking under the Private Hajj Scheme 2027 has officially begun. For the first time, booking, package selection and all payments will be made only through the Pak Hajj App and the Hajj portal under the supervision of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
The ministry said pilgrims will also select private companies only through the Pak Hajj App or the Hajj portal. Direct payment to any private operator or unauthorized agent will not be acceptable.
Officials warned that if a pilgrim pays any unauthorized agent or individual, the full responsibility will lie with the applicant.
Under the Private Hajj Scheme 2027, a total of 71,696 pilgrims will perform Hajj. So far, more than 105,000 people have registered through the Pak Hajj App.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs also clarified that 25 authorized private Hajj companies are currently registered with the ministry, and only the packages of these companies will be available through the official Hajj portal and the Pak Hajj App.
