More than Rs. 31 billion in Hajj payments have been received within 24 hours through Pakistan’s digital Hajj portal, according to the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
The number of Hajj applications submitted through the facility has also crossed 50,000 since the online payment service was launched.
Under the scheme, payments have been completed for around 22,000 pilgrims under the Short Hajj Scheme and 28,000 pilgrims under the Long Hajj Scheme.
Online payments are being made from all four provinces, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Islamabad.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has provided three payment options through the Pak Hajj app and Hajj portal: One Link, bank cards and bank challans.
The digital payment facility is aimed at making the Hajj payment process faster and easier for pilgrims across Pakistan.
