A woman died after falling from a building at Mall of Imarat in Islamabad, with police launching an investigation to determine the circumstances of the incident.

According to initial reports, the woman fell from an upper floor of the building located in Jinnah Gardens, Capital Enclave. Rescue teams reached the scene, but she had reportedly died before medical assistance could be provided.

Police and other law enforcement personnel also arrived at the site soon after the incident. The area was cordoned off, evidence was collected, and the body was later shifted to a hospital for legal formalities and post-mortem examination.

Unconfirmed reports circulating on social media claimed the woman may have fallen from the floor where a restaurant is located, but officials have not issued any formal confirmation on that point.

Police said it would be premature to assign a cause to the incident, adding that all possible angles are being examined.

Investigators have reportedly obtained CCTV footage from the building and are recording statements from staff, eyewitnesses, and the man who was said to be accompanying the deceased before the incident.

No official statement has yet been issued by the building or hotel administration regarding the matter.

The identity of the woman has not been formally confirmed by authorities, and police say further details will become clearer once the investigation progresses.
