An 18-year-old female seminary student was found dead in a hostel of Jamia Hafsa in Islamabad on Friday.
The deceased, identified as Marwa Hussain, belonged to Upper Dir district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and was studying at the seminary.
Police shifted the body to a hospital for a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death. According to initial findings, investigators found no visible signs of torture or physical violence on the body.
Police have registered a case and recorded statements of other female students staying at the hostel. Authorities said the exact cause of death will be confirmed after the post-mortem report.
