Vivo has launched the Vivo T5 as a new budget-focused smartphone. The phone comes with a large battery, a high refresh rate display, and durability features that are not common in this price segment.
The Vivo T5 features a 6.75-inch LCD with a 1570×720 pixel resolution. The screen supports up to a 120Hz refresh rate and reaches up to 1250 nits of HBM brightness.
The phone comes in Gold and Black color options. The black variant measures 166.64 x 78.43 x 8.39mm, while the gold variant is slightly thicker at 8.49mm. The device weighs 219 grams.
Vivo also claims IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
The Vivo T5 is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 2 4G chipset. It comes with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The phone also supports up to 8GB of extended RAM.
It runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 out of the box. For security, the phone includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Connectivity options include dual SIM 4G, Bluetooth 5.1, dual-band Wi-Fi, USB Type-C, and an infrared blaster.
The Vivo T5 has a dual rear camera setup. It includes a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary sensor.
On the front, the phone has a 32MP camera for selfies and video calls.
The Vivo T5 packs a 7,200mAh battery with 44W fast charging support.
The phone has been launched in Mexico in a single 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. It is priced at about $335.
