The Sindh government has decided to purchase 1,000 more Pink EV Scooties for women and expand the province’s mass transit network through the launch of intercity Peoples Bus Service routes.

The decision was discussed during a meeting of the Transport and Mass Transit Department chaired by Sindh Senior Minister for Information, Transport and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon.

According to officials, the provincial government is planning to launch intercity bus services in Larkana, Dadu, Sehwan, Hyderabad and Sanghar in the coming weeks.

Sharjeel Inam Memon also announced new Peoples Bus Service routes between Khairpur and Rohri, and Khairpur and Ranipur, which are expected to start next week.

Officials said additional EV buses and double-decker buses will also be introduced in Karachi to further improve public transport facilities.

During the meeting, authorities reviewed ongoing and proposed projects related to Peoples Bus Service expansion, EV taxi services and the distribution of Pink EV Scooties. The minister directed officials to immediately resolve registration-related issues linked to the Pink EV Scooties project.

Sharjeel Inam Memon said the Sindh government is working to provide modern, safe and environmentally friendly transport facilities across the province, particularly for women, students and daily commuters.
