The Government of Sindh has announced another phase of its Pink EV Scooter Scheme aimed at improving mobility and transportation facilities for women across the province.
According to a statement issued by the Sindh Information Department, pink electric scooters will be distributed in Hyderabad on May 22 under the provincial government’s women-focused transport initiative.
Senior Sindh Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon described the scheme as a “revolutionary initiative” for women, saying it was helping empower female students and working women.
The Pink EV Scooter Scheme was launched to provide women with safer, affordable, and environment-friendly transportation facilities. Under the program, beneficiaries also receive driving training, helmets, and road safety guidance.
The Sindh government has gradually expanded the initiative in different cities as part of broader transport modernization efforts that also include the expansion of electric buses and the Peoples Bus Service network across the province.
