As summer vacations begin, the District Education Authority has directed all government school staff to ensure their attendance at educational institutions during the holiday period.

According to the authority, school employees may also be assigned duties at nearby intermediate examination centres if required during ongoing exams.

Under the issued instructions, teachers already assigned examination duties will be exempt from attending schools, while school heads have been directed to arrange substitute staff for examination supervision when needed.

The District Education Authority has instructed all school staff to remain present on May 22 and May 25 without exception.

Officials said that if there is a shortage of invigilation staff at examination centres, additional school employees may be deployed to nearby centres.

Meanwhile, board authorities clarified that no intermediate examination papers have been scheduled from May 26 to May 31 due to Eid al-Azha holidays.
