The Punjab Police has announced a significant increase in educational scholarships for the children of its employees.

The move follows directives from the Inspector General of Punjab Police, under which scholarship amounts have been raised at several education levels.

Children pursuing graduation or BS Honours degrees will now receive a minimum annual scholarship of Rs60,000.

The annual scholarship for intermediate-level students has been doubled from Rs25,000 to Rs50,000.

For matriculation students whose parents are employees in Grade Four, the scholarship has been increased from Rs5,000 to Rs20,000 annually.

Punjab Police has also announced that it will cover the full tuition fees of children pursuing specialised degrees, including engineering, medicine, MBA and BBA programmes.
